Andrea Maksimovic and Véronique Claveau: our two new Hardriven ambassadors!

Hardriven is proud to welcome two exceptional new ambassadors: Andrea Maksimovic and Véronique Claveau. True examples of perseverance, dedication, and passion, they embody everything our brand stands for—on the court and beyond. Their chemistry and energy make them an inspiring and unmissable duo on the Quebec volleyball scene.

A duo defined by intensity, joy, and style

Andrea and Véro don’t go unnoticed on the court. They talk—loud and often—and together, they shine! Their motto: “Looking good is what matters most” — and as Andrea says, with Hardriven, that just gets easier! But don’t be fooled: their style never overshadows their competitive fire. Always playing with heart, they put fun and passion at the center of everything they do. For years now, winter and summer, beach or indoor, they’ve been a united duo who truly represent the soul of volleyball.

Andrea Maksimovic: a story of resilience

Andrea discovered volleyball in high school, splitting her time between track and volleyball. She quickly moved up through Club Garneau, Team Espoir, and the Titans at Cégep Limoilou (D2), earning Rookie of the Year and being named to the All-Star Team twice.

Her dream was always to wear the Rouge et Or jersey. But at just 5'5” and as an attacker, she didn’t make the team at first. Two years later, after dedicating herself to beach volleyball and developing strong defensive skills, she tried again—this time as a libero—and was selected! A turning point in her journey, which she crowned with a bachelor’s in kinesiology and nutrition and coaching certifications (levels 1 and 2).

Andrea has faced her share of serious injuries: multiple pelvic fractures, ACL, MCL, and meniscus tears. Still, after years of physio and training, she’s back in the game once again—stronger and more passionate than ever. Her resilience and drive to bring people together through sport continue to define her.

Véronique Claveau: built by perseverance

Véro started playing volleyball in high school… by chance. Her P.E. teacher called her house two years in a row to convince her to try out. She finally agreed just to be polite—never imagining how much that moment would change her life.

She went on to play D1 college volleyball at André-Laurendeau. Recruited by Laval University, she moved from Montreal to Quebec City to join the Rouge et Or, only to be cut from the team twice. Still, she trained relentlessly, and in her final university year, she finally earned her spot. It became one of the most fulfilling athletic experiences of her life, and taught her the value of hard work.

Volleyball has been a cornerstone in Véro’s life. Without it, she says she would’ve likely dropped out of school in grade 9. Today, she’s a university graduate and one of the most experienced players—if not the most “wise”—on the Quebec provincial circuit. And while she hasn’t had as many injuries as Andrea, she once played a match at Nationals… with a cast on her hand!
